A lively, resinous concoction centered upon a balance between frankincense, cypriol, and elemi - a bit like Nabeel's 'Tajebni', but not as sweet or fruity. 'Black Horse' is cooling, calming, noble. There are mere hints of modern perfumery by way of iso e and calone, enhancing the balsamic vibe, but at such a subliminal level that there is no overshadowing of the main players. A whisper of cinnamon... and there are pale traces of patchouli, castoreum, amber, and musk in the base grounding what would otherwise be an aloof fragrance in a modicum of warmth. Serene, woody, balsamic. Longevity is around 12 hours at decent projection, and then persists as a skin-scent until at least 24 hours later.
