The hijab has become a very controversial issue. As more and more people get involved with it, the layperson often becomes confused and frustrated in trying to figure out what Islam really requires in this regard. This work follows a scholarly approach and presents conclusions from the Qur'an, the hadith literature, and history in order to clarify the wisdom behind wearing the hijab.
