In the West, marriage is no longer the only union within which a man and a woman may legitimately enjoy a 'full' relationship. It is just one option amongst a growing catalogue of equally valid possibilities. Hence, it would seem, the official dispensing of the titles 'husband' and 'wife' in favour of the more socially acceptable term 'partner'. Just one symptom of decay threatening the institution of marriage in the Western world. Muslims need not be complacent. Where the West leads the rest of the world inevitably follows. All matters, however personal, are dealt with in a sensitive yet refreshingly open and frank manner. The lectures are not a dry account of legal rulings and injunctions; rather they are an authoritative record of the Fiqh of Marriage accompanied by valuable insights and personal guidance from the learned Shaykh.
